CEBU, Philippines - As part of the month-long celebration of the 440th founding anniversary of the Cebu province, Governor Gwen Garcia led the unveiling of One Cebu Expo logo together with some Board Members, the Dept. of Trade and Industry and the Department of Tourism. Now on its second year, the new logo which was designed by the Committee on Provincial Tourism chaired by PB Agnes Magpale has six colorful ellipses, each representing the indivisible six congressional districts of Cebu. The governor declared that with the rise of the number of exhibitors that has doubled from last year, “it appears to be an event that becomes bigger and bigger.” “This One Cebu Expo presents the best of who we are and continues to be a challenge of what we can yet be. Never resting on laurels, never content enough to say: pwede na,” she said. The expo which will be participated by small and medium enterprises will showcase products and services available in Cebu such as furniture, gifts, toys, house wares and fashion accessories. Establishments from the spa and wellness industry, together with the hotels and resorts and food industry will also be joining the exhibit. In addition to the 330 exhibitors who have committed to join the expo this year, a delegation from Russia will grace the event which will be held at the Cebu International Convention Center. Also expected to participate will be visitors from Slovenia, South Korea and Slovak Republic. Furthermore, the Department of Tourism will prepare10 air-conditioned buses that will take the visitors on a heritage tour around the province. Cebu has always been known for its craftsmanship, its hospitality, its ingenuity, its fiesta celebrations, its distinct flavors, and its wonderful beaches. Cebu is all that and much much more.
